Jeremy has a 1990 SHO that has been turbocharged. His current
best time is 13.1 @ 107 mph in the quarter, and he should have dyno results
soon! Check his webpage
for more details and a couple of great videos of his SHO running the quarter
mile.

Jeremy's original message about his car to the SHOtimes list follows
- some if it is already dated (see the mods list below and quarter mile
time above), but is still a fun read!

Well this was a custom turbo job done by a local friend (custom
fabricator) Extreme Motorsports. Its a T3/T4 Hybrid Garrett.
(Kinda small). It gives 8#s of boost at 3600 rpms'. I have
3" mandrel bent exhaust and a 2 1/2" downpipe.. The turbo is run off stock
headers into a ypipe to the turbo and it is intercooled by a custom made
front mount intercooler. This works great and keeps in intake pretty close
to the outside temp. Its crazy to drive around for 20 minutes in 50 degree
weather and put your hand on the intake and have it cold to the touch.
All turbo (drive) piping is ceramic coated to control heat and wrapped
with fiberglass wrap. I am using 47# injectors and a 190LPH fuel pump.
It has a shoshop LPM and the 80mm MassAir. I installed a Scott Performance
Custom Clutch (similar to ProLok) and the Quaife LSD (very very very cool)
from the ShoShop. I have a Thermal muffler on the exhaust and I think
we might have forgotten to put the Cat in.. Hmmm.. Nah.. couldn't have
forgotten that... I converted it to rod shifter (from a junkyard 92).
Stock suspension right now (I have Koni's and Eibachs to go in next week).
I put 92 white slicers with 225-50-16 D40M2 tires on it. I have a Greddy
Blow off Valve to keep the turbo spinning and keep it from blowing back
against itself. Turbo timer is on it to keep the car running and cool the
turbo.. Profec is in hand but not yet installed (this will let me control
the boost with touch of a button and keeps it consistant with temp changes.)
The car was bone stock with 80k before the conversion.. The time dropped
from a 15.1@92 to a 13.5@105. The car still needs work, the chip
is not quite right (way too rich). I know sometimes it will blow fire out
the tail pipe... HEHEH.... The motor is stock and the tranny had
new synchros that were put in when i put the clutch in... I hope
to have some slightly better track times when the chip is redone and suspension
is done. I will have some more pictures on my site this week sometime and
will post when they are up. The car is so much fun to drive... 4th
gear is the most impressive and pulls very hard and gets you up in the
hundreds very fast. Dropping it to third to pass someone is unbelievable.
I am hoping to build a 3.2 low compression motor to go in once this one
passes away. I am not sure of the total cost because I have been collecting
parts for this for
two years and havn't added it all up. It took a lot of getting used
to to drive it, the wheel spin is bad and you can forget flooring it in
first and usually second too.. It will spin in third when it is real cold
out (just from being in third, not from the shift). I am expecting this
to be better once I get my suspension done.
