Aftermarket steering wheels
</b></font><hr WIDTH="100%"></font></b>
Aftermarket steering wheels are less of an option on all cars now that
airbags are standard more often than not, but there are some interesting
possibilities for '89 model SHOs (airbags weren't in SHOs 'til 90).
<p>Kurt Edelbach developed the following for his 1989 SHO :
<p>"A good steering wheel is worth 10 horsepower"
<p>After searching in vain for an existing aftermarket steering wheel mount
for Tauri, I have designed and fabricated an adaptor to replace the skinny
stock wheel with a thick, sexy wheel from MOMO.&nbsp; I choose the "Club
4" model, and it is sweet (NOTE - now that airbags have taken over, MOMO
wheels are discounted fairly heavily - I paid $260, lists for around $350)&nbsp;
Cruise buttons are easy to re-route to anywhere on the dash or console.&nbsp;
Depending on what kind of response I get, I can provide dimensioned drawings/instructions
or ready-to-install units.
<p>Feel free to email Kurt at <a href="mailto:kedelbach@demagdelaval-tr.com">kedelbach@demagdelaval-tr.com</a>
or call him at 609-278-1994.
